This is the fastest quilt I have ever made. Strips cut from 44″ wide fabric were used for the strips. Eight sewing hours including the quilting. Mostly sewn with the quilt-as-you-go method. The backing was laid out on the floor in our living room and sprayed lightly with spray adhesive. Then a layer of 100% cotton batting was rolled out carefully over the sticky fabric backing. Finally after checking for wrinkles on the back, the 2-layers are rolled from one end and placed under my sewing machine ready to quilt. The strips of fabric are stitched to the batting face down and then flipped and stitches faced up the entire length of the quilt. To finish the quilt, a fold over binding is attached on the trimmed edges and voila! Finished. Wash on hot and it looks great. Ready for the bed.
